"Get over it!" or better, "Let it go!" We all know those well meaning people. The ones who tell you to, "just get over it" when you're feeling overwhelmed, scared or stuck.

And you probably think...Oh yeah!? How? How do I get over it? How do you just let go?

Fear isn't rational or logical. It can be paralyzing. And "getting over it" or "letting go" might seem like an impossible obstacles. *Good news its not impossible!*

I've been there, when you want something so BADLY but are TERRIFIED to go for it. Or maybe you wake up anxious and don't really know why. The tense jaw, neck and shoulders, pit of dread in your stomach, tension headaches, you know... those uncomfortable sensations that follow worry around.
Those feelings suck...seriously!

Yoga Nidra
What is Yoga Nidra?
Nidra in sanksrit means sleep
yoga nidra = yoga sleep
This isn't the kind of sleep we take at night. Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that takes the practioner into a state of mind that is equivalent to restful/deep sleep.
Benefits of Yoga Nidra
Reduce Stress & Tension in Mind & Body
Lift Depression
Alleviate Long Standing Anxiety, PTSD & Trauma
Countless Health Benefits (Like reducing Chronic Pain)
Gain Restful Sleep and Eliminate Insomnia
& Much More...

How it works
You begin by laying on your back, taking savasana (resting pose). Allowing time for settling in, relaxing and getting as comfortable as possible. Once settled you will listen to the instructor guide you through an awareness meditation.

By keeping awareness on what the teacher is guiding you through you allow the brain to settle while still conscious. The mind drops into a state that is between wakefulness and sleep.
Again, in yoga nidra you don't actually sleep, but this relaxed state is measurable to a deep relaxed sleep.
"When we practice yoga nidra, we are trying to transcend the behavior of the external mind." -Yoga Nidra, Swami Satyananda Saraswati
